Looking for something easy to relax with? Something you can finish in one sitting? That’s what I was interested in a couple months ago, and these coloring pages for adults are the result.
In a flurry of curiosity and inspiration I delved into taking favorite quotes and turning them into simple coloring pages. I keep excerpts and quotes from favorite books in various electronic places (a digital commonplace book of sorts), and it was time to bring some of them into the open.
Enter: shelter-in-place for eternity (or at least it seemed that long). In any case, I had periods of complete disinterest in doing anything and spurts of wanting to do everything. In one of the latter times, I decided to try making simple coloring pages with some of my favorite quotes and verses.
I enjoy coloring activities from time to time. I love to see the intricate patterns and details that swirl through many of the adult coloring books. But, to be honest, I don’t have the time or patience to invest in one of those beautiful designs. That leaves me completely unwilling to shell out money to buy an entire book of them.
What I really wanted was favorite quotes paired with patterns or designs that I could color in one sitting and enjoy. With that goal in mind I ventured forth. And the outcome wasn’t terrible.

Coloring Pages
My initial plan was to set up a resource library on Living the Learning Life, but I’m simplifying at the moment so I chose instead to offer these coloring pages for adults for free! If any of the quotes intrigue you or if you just want to spend a couple minutes relaxing your brain and sparking creativity, click on the picture, download, print, and color away!

“I have told you these things so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.”
John 16:33
“That’s the thing about books. They let you travel without moving your feet.”
Quote by Jhumpa Lahiri
“May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit.”
Romans 15:13
“Life’s most persistent question is, ‘What are you doing for others?'”

“The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking landscapes, but in having new eyes.”
